The Cleaning Process
We understand that every dress is unique and we will treat every gown individually paying particular attention to the cleaning instructions, the style and design and the embellishments.
Inspection
We will firstly identify the materials that your dress is made up from and decide the best way to clean it, as well as paying particular attention to individual stains and marks.
Stain removal – prespotting
We have specific techniques for cleaning stains and marks prior to cleaning. The process can take many hours to complete.
Cleaning
With so many new fabrics and embellishments to clean to there are many cleaning processes which are available to us. We will decide the process, if we believe that there are any difficulties then we will speak to you prior to the cleaning process.
Post inspection
This process is the most important part of cleaning. The dress is examined thoroughly and any stains and marks which have not been successfully removed will be reevaluated to see whether the dress will need to be recleaned. We will never send a gown back to you unless we are sure that we have done our best to remove staining .
Hand finishing
Your gown will be hand finished and pressed to perfection..
Collection
We will contact you when the dress is ready for collection. We ask that you check your gown before we pack it for preservation. We want you to be completely satisfied that your dress is perfect before we preserve it
Certificate of cleaning
Every gown that we clean will be issued with a certificate of cleaning. This may be very useful if you are looking to sell your gown.
